Found this on Austin.Decider.com today. A preview for our upcoming show at the Mohawk during Free Week in January.

“C
elebrating three of the worst haircuts known to man (for some reason), the bizarre conceit of this show nevertheless provides a handy metaphor for parsing the three bands on its bill. With its reckless amalgam of ska, prog-rock, and circus music, Perfect Pants loves extremes, so it’s easily the mohawk of this lineup. San Marcos’ Colour Wheel loves a straightforward pop ballad, but its surplus of guitars (it boasts three), keyboards, and saxophone is a little “business in front, party in back”—the aural equivalent of the mullet. And like a rattail, Frantic Clam is deceptive: Its arty mix of raucous glam and strangled indie seems familiar, but then the guitars knife sideways, the lyrics start rambling about under-the-radar scream queen “Mary Elizabeth Winstead,” and you notice the band is far weirder than it lets on.”
